She has taken on many leadership roles while there, including mentor teacher, School Site Council Chairperson, grade level lead, school leadership team, and site administrative designee. She is widely respected for her natural leadership ability, her collaborative approach to teaching, and her strength in handling difficult situations.
“There’s no greater time to support students in their journey than during the middle school years,” noted Ms. O’Malley. “I could not imagine a better way to make a difference in this world than to spend time bolstering and protecting students as they navigate the dynamic years between elementary and high school.”
Superintendent Katherine Stopp shared, “We are so excited about Ms. O’Malley’s promotion to Assistant Principal at Masuda. Her longevity in the classroom provides her with invaluable experience and perspective. Her passion and genuine enthusiasm for supporting students, colleagues, and families will serve Masuda well. I am thrilled that Jessica is taking this next step in her career within FVSD. Please join us in congratulating Jessica O’Malley–our newest Monarch.”
