It was a standing-room-only celebration this week as the Fountain Valley School District honored the heart and soul of our schools: our certificated staff. The District Boardroom was transformed into a festive space with vibrant blue and white balloon structures, a hit photo booth, and an extensive candy bar that kept the energy high as we celebrated professional milestones and legacies.

The latest issue of School News Roll Call, a third-party magazine featuring highlights of our District schools and programs, is now available online in English and Vietnamese.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but our retiree caricatures capture a thousand memories! This year, we are saying a bittersweet goodbye to nine legendary educators who have dedicated their lives to the students of FVSD. Whether they were teaching the art of a perfect sentence, the logic of a math equation, or the craftsmanship of woodshop, these individuals have been the backbone of our school communities.

The quiet concentration in the Fulton Middle School MPR this past Saturday spoke volumes about the talent in our district. Students from all three FVSD middle schools gathered for the 5th Annual Middle School Chess Tournament, a highlight of the year for our campus chess clubs.

Bridging the gap between the classroom and home is key to student success, and the team at Cox Elementary did just that during their recent TK & Kinder math event. The focus of the day was demystifying modern instructional strategies and showing families how much fun "number talk" can be for our youngest learners.
