FVSD Announces Dr. Kiva Spiratos as New Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services
Fountain Valley, CA, July 20, 2026: Fountain Valley School District is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Kiva Spiratos as New Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services following a rigorous hiring and interview process. Her appointment is pending Board approval at the upcoming August 13, 2026, meeting.
Dr. Spiratos is a familiar face to the FVSD community, having served as the District’s Director of Educational Services since June 2022. During her tenure, she has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to academic excellence and instructional leadership.

Dr. Spiratos brings a wealth of background in both site-level leadership and district administration to her new role. Prior to joining FVSD, she served 16 years as a site administrator in both high school and elementary within the Los Alamitos Unified School District, as well as 10 years of classroom instruction with Orange Unified.
Superintendent Stopp expressed great confidence in Dr. Spiratos’ promotion to the executive cabinet. "We are thrilled to bring Kiva Spiratos' name forward to our Board. Having served our district so effectively over the last four years, her deep understanding of our schools, paired with her proven leadership, makes her the perfect fit to guide our Educational Services team forward."
Dr. Spiratos will officially assume her new role on July 27, 2026.
