About Me

Welcome!

My name is Ms.Cortez, and I’m proud to be one of the full-time Physical Education teachers here at Masuda Middle School. I’m passionate about helping students develop healthy habits, build confidence, and discover the fun in staying active.

With a background in Kinesiology, I’ve been teaching PE for 8 years and love creating a supportive, inclusive environment where every student can thrive, no matter their skill level. Whether we’re learning team sports, exploring new fitness activities, or setting personal wellness goals, my focus is always on promoting lifelong physical health and teamwork.

Outside of school, I enjoy hiking with my boyfriend and our dogs, playing beach volleyball, basketball, and trying new foods. I’m always on the lookout for new ways to stay active and inspire my students to do the same.
