Welcome

My name is Mr. Weireter and I have been teaching at Masuda Middle School since 2016. I began my teaching career in Los Angeles Unified School district in 2008; after completing a Bachelors Degree in history and a Single Subject Teaching Credential (in History) both at Cal State Northridge. 

 

I grew up in Ventura California, playing Basketball and Volleyball. I have four siblings, two of which are High School ELA teachers and Water polo coaches. My wife is a History teacher in Irvine Unified School District. We have a daughter who was born in 2017, and a Chocolate lab who was born in 2023. 

 

I currently teach Honors 8th Grade US History and Honors 7th Grade World History. In the past, I have taught 6th-8th Grade English Language Arts, 6-8th Grade Physical Education and various elective courses.

 

I believe that public education is a cornerstone of modern civilization; and is essential in order for our democracy to survive. That being said- History should be fun!
