This month Masuda students are encouraged to check out our community read, They Called Us Enemy, a graphic novel by George Takei, aka Star Trek's Lieutenant Sulu. In the book, Takei recounts his experience as a child in an American internment camp during World War II. Students can easily access the ebook through the public library on Hoopla --they will need an Fountain Valley (OCPL) or Huntington Beach library card to check it out. If they don't have one, you can easily obtain an ecard online. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can assist you in any way to promote the joy of literacy in your homes!

hi monarchs I hope you enjoyed reading yesterday during read Across America day and today we're going to talk about the book of the month we're going to be reading that was selected by read Across America for the month of March and was selected by Huntington Beach reads one book for the whole year so what is that called us and India. Anyways here's a short clip but fortunately there is a way for all need to get a really great graphic novel The Orange County Public Library in order to take a look at this FIFA and if you don't have one you can click right here on the virtual library what do you have your library card or if you already have one or your parents have one you go to hoopla and if you click right here it'll take you so are you need to go and you can simply click on one of the books I recommend Expanded Edition we also they also have it in Spanish on borrow okay so you have 21 days from the time you borrow it and it's available you could stream it or you can download it onto a mobile device okay and then once you click on borrow they'll be asking for your great card information I know that's a little bit of work for you guys and I really would love to have so many of us have read that we can talk about with our families our community no I am rewarding those that take that step to check out the ebook for a baby patches the poster right outside the door in the library and for the first 30 people who checked out and read it in and out certificate as well so let me know if you have any questions that you could also go to Destiny just real quick and click on the link that says Orange County hoopla be there and there's also hope you all enjoy the book and let me know when you get so come on into the library get your price of a great day guys
